Bali has a quiet time

Anyone who ever visited the island of Bali can attest to its lively and vibrant character. Streets are filled with busy commuters, Tourists meandering along the beach side boulevards, farmers are herding ducks to the rice fields. Wherever you look there is colorful vibrant activity. But for one day the island appears to fall into a state of quiet reflection.

In 2025 on Monday March 29th all the islands activities quiet down in celebration of Nyepi Day. Wikipedia defines this day as follows:

“Nyepi is a Balinese “Day of Silence” that is commemorated every Isakawarsa according to the Balinese calendar. It is a Balinese celebration mainly celebrated in Bali, Indonesia. Nyepi, a public holiday in Indonesia, is a day of silence, fasting and meditation for the Balinese.”

While you may not celebrate the same traditions or observe the same events on your calendar, we wish you a peaceful and quiet day of reflection. It might be something everyone can use once a year. Our team at the Coral Farm will be available for you after the holiday with a renewed spirit and cleansed mind.
